Chapter 2 Radical and Rational Functions Test Review Outline

Today, we went over some of the questions that the students have and did a review of Chapter 2 in preparation for tomorrow’s test.

Here is what you need to review on to prepare for the test:

1. Radical Function

•  Graph radical function
•  Solve radical equation algebraically and graphically

2. Rational Function

• Determine the properties/characteristics of rational function:  intercepts, non-permissible values, vertical and horizontal asymptotes, coordinate of the hole
• Graph the rational function
• Solve rational equation

Today, we tried something new.  We tried to determine the POSSIBLE rational function for a given information.  In addition, we worked on the handout to practice new found skill and some review questions on rational functions.

REMINDER:   Our Radical and Rational Functions Unit Test is on Friday, March 1st, 2019. It is never too early to work on some review questions and practice test on our workbooks.

Lesson 5 Graphing Rational Functions

Lesson 4 Rational Functions

Today, we looked at characteristics of Rational Functions involving non-permissible values, vertical asymptote, horizontal asymptote and hole.
