Today, we started with Trig Unit. We went over Lesson 1 on pages 4-5 and learned about angles in standard position and co-terminal angles. Questions #3, 4 and 5 on pages 474-475 were assigned for practice. The scanned notes and the video of the lesson are on the link below.

Today, we finished the lesson 4, which means we finished the whole chapter 4. Here are the scanned notes.
Today we learned about Composite functions involving evaluating the composite functions and determining the explicit equation of the composite functions. The notes are shown below. The live stream was not available earlier so there is no video of the lesson.
Hand-In Assignment 5 was given today. The due date is Thursday, March 21st. Here is a copy of the assignment.
A Spring Break Hand-In Assignment was given today as well. The due date is April 3rd. Please make sure to get a hard copy of the this assignment before spring break.
Today, we discussed combining functions algebraically, writing the explicit equation of the combined functions and graphing the functions manually.

Our original plan was to have our test on Transformations of Functions. It has now been moved to Monday, March 18th. Instead of the test, we started Lesson 1 on Combining Functions. The notes of the lesson is in the attachment below.
Also, there is no school tomorrow due to an in-service. Have a great weekend studying for your Transformations test! I highly recommend that you try the Chapter Review on page 255 and the Practice Test on 261.

Today we learned about the Reflections of the function over the x-axis and y-axis. We graphed the reflections and determined the equations after the horizontal and vertical reflections. Tomorrow, we will discuss the lesson on the Inverse Functions.

We will have our Chapter 3 Transformations Unit Test on Thursday, March 14th. Start doing the Chapter Review and the Practice Test at the end of the chapter.
